Small group training in East Sacramento Small groups. Big energy.
Coached strength classes capped at six people and matched to where your fitness is today. Every body is welcome and every movement has an option that works for you.
Count them.
Six spots. One coach.
Nobody hides in the back row here. In-person classes are capped at a maximum of six people, and that is the whole point.
Your coach knows your name, watches your form, and changes the workout when your knee, your back or your week needs it. Groups are matched by current fitness level and goals, so the person next to you is working on the same things you are.

What happens in the hour
Every session follows the same honest shape, so you always know what is coming. Every movement has a high and a low impact option, and modifications are always available. Nobody jumps unless they want to.

Before work? After? Saturday?
This season's class times
Registration is required for every class, which is how the groups stay small. Times shift with the seasons, so we confirm yours when you book. Prefer a different time? Ask about starting a new small group.
Come as you are.
Built for every body
Action Fitness is a body positive fitness community for all levels. That is not a slogan on a wall.
It means the program is designed for any age, size and fitness level, and it measures progress in what you can do, not what you weigh.
Regular fitness assessments show you how far you have come. The AF Games at the start and end of a season test chin-ups, push-ups, wall sits, planks, farmer's carries and a one mile walk or run, so you get real numbers that belong to you.
Members train in person, and virtual classes and a take-home program keep you moving on the weeks you cannot make it in.
Straight from the mat.

Before your first class
The four things people ask us most before they walk in.
I am out of shape. Is this class too hard for me?
No. Every movement has a high-impact and a low-impact option, and modifications are always available. Groups are matched by current fitness level, so you work at your level, not someone else's.
How many people are in a class?
In-person classes are capped at six people, so the coach can watch your form and adjust the workout for you.
Do I need to register ahead of time?
Yes. Registration is required for every class, which is how the group stays small. Claim your Free Session and we will help you pick a time.
What should I wear and bring?
Comfortable clothes you can move in, athletic shoes and a water bottle. The studio has every piece of equipment you will use.
