About Action Fitness Community A gym that feels like your people
Action Fitness Community is a body positive strength studio and fitness community in East Sacramento. It is safe and enjoyable for all ages, shapes, sizes and fitness levels, and it has been that way since 2011.
Where it started.
From one studio to a community
Meg White opened her studio on 57th Street in 2011, and it has been growing into a community ever since.
Today it is Action Fitness Community: a crew that shows up for each other, in class and outside it. Some members have been coming for ten years and more.
In Meg's words, Action Fitness Community is a mindset. It is a body positive fitness community for all levels, built on accountability, motivation and results, and on the idea that you get stronger faster when you are not doing it alone.

Meet your coach
Meg is a certified personal trainer and the owner of Action Fitness Community.
She fell in love with fitness training in college, working as a personal trainer at a local racquet club. In 2011 she opened her own studio, and she has spent over 15 years working in the fitness industry.
Meg calls herself a Body Positive Activist, and it shows in how she coaches. Her programs are geared toward body longevity: training that keeps you strong, mobile and moving well for years, at whatever age, size and fitness level you are today.

What body positive means here
It means you never have to earn your place in the room.
- Every body belongs. The program is designed for any age, size and fitness level, and nobody is singled out.
- Every move has an option. High and low impact versions of every movement, and modifications are always available.
- Progress is what you can do. Regular fitness assessments track your strength, stamina and mobility, not just a number on a scale.
- Food without rules. Nutrition support follows a program from a registered dietitian, built on enjoying a variety of whole foods with no restrictive eating and no fad diets.
Small outside. Big inside.
Indoors, outdoors, and up the wall
Weights, a squat rack, Jungle Gym suspension straps, a climbing wall, a living plant wall and an outdoor turf area under the canopy, all in about a thousand square feet on 57th Street.
Strong together.
The community part
The workouts are the start. The people are why members stay.
-

Giving back
The donation based Self Care Fair, with massage, breathwork and a dietitian. Charity workouts. A supply drive boot camp for WIND Youth Services.
-

Out in the neighborhood
The Shop East Sac Holiday Fun Run, plus Saturday river walks and runs for anyone who wants company on the trail.
-

Adventures
A Spartan race team, and hikes and kayak days at Lake Natoma. Come along at whatever pace suits you.
